The below represent the type of section we especially target to purchase from:
Motability:
the largest fleet in Europe. Made up of a wide variety of makes and models. This is a government sponsored body which provides cars to those with a disability allowance. They tend to be very low mileage and include a good variety of automatics. Highly sought after by the Motor Trade. Usually coming up for sale after the end of lease, normally 3 years old but many 1 or 2 year olds as well.
Bank of Scotland:
Large finance force in the Motor Trade. Many of their cars are either management or lease cars. Usually 1,2 or 3 years old.
Lloyds Bank TSB:
similar profile to Bank of Scotland though with a higher proportion of part exchange cars from their dealers. A good number of finance snatch backs.

Hitachi Lease, Hertz, Arriva PHH, Reg Vardy are just some of the names heavily into the leasing market. Again 1,2 or 3 years old. Lease cars are great purchases especially when taken out with contract hire meaning they have been maintained regardless of cost. Nearly all with full service history and print outs of any work carried out.
Large Dealer Groups:
The very large dealer groups have a policy of sending to auction all their non own franchise part exchanges. Often one owner with full history, they represent very good opportunities and are often targeted by the Motor Trade themselves. They are not usually fully prepared for auction, e.g .not professionally valeted . A good trade buyer will soon spot the potential in the best of these and they are often transformed with the minimum of preparation. The names most common at auction would be : Reg Vardy; Hartwell; Pendragon; Inchcape; C D Bramall but these are just the tip of the iceberg. |

Manufacturers:
Many of the manufacturers enter large numbers of cars direct. These can be management cars or their own lease cars they take back, check and then offer to the trade at auction. You will often find sections from: Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Ford, Mercedes, Rover, FIAT, Alfa, VW, Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Citroen, Ford, Vauxhall. & Honda.
Top Car Sales
These are held regularly but at a small number of specialist auction centres. They would include all the familiar names of Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Ferrari. Lotus, TVR etc etc. |
